The Warlock's Prisoner is a first-person horror-adventure game developed by Mirra Games. Players awaken in the dungeon of a dark wizard, with no explanation, only darkness and the feeling of being watched. The sole objective is to find a way out before becoming the next victim.
The environment of the game consists of stone cellars, old rooms, dark stairs, rough brick walls and rotten wooden floors. Light comes only from candles or cracks in doors, sometimes turning red, creating a suffocating atmosphere. Every part of the room can be a vital clue for survival.
Puzzle system is point-and-click. Puzzle boards are grid puzzles with arrows that need to be arranged in the correct order to unlock. Inventory is filled with notes, crystals and strange materials, many useless by themselves but when combined open up new paths.
The game's special feature is the Mystic Mirror, a tool that allows you to see what the naked eye cannot. When you're stuck, use the mirror to illuminate hidden paths or signs on the spiritual plane.
Zombies, ghosts, madmen, and demons roam the corridors. A double-barreled shotgun is your weapon of self-defense, but ammunition is limited; each shot is a matter of life or death.
