About Granny 2

In Granny 2, you're once again trapped in a terrifying house, but this time it's more dangerous with two enemies: Granny and Grandpa. Granny hears every sound, no matter how small, while Grandpa can't hear clearly but attacks fiercely. Find a way to escape the house within the time limit.

Tips to Survive in Granny: Chapter Two

Stay quiet… and know when to make noise

  • Granny still has "number one hearing". She hears everything from footsteps and dropped objects to cabinet doors opening. But in Chapter Two, you can use noise to distract her:
  • Throw objects into Baby's water (the children's area). The object will float down to the Sewer Deck, and if thrown skillfully, the noise can lure Granny down there.
  • Drop a vase in the main room. Grandpa will run over, and you can circle and climb upstairs.

If you hear Granny's house music, the ticking of a clock, or the beeping of a security camera, it means Grandpa is in the kitchen or the security room. Knowing their location is half the battle.

Tip: Dropping items on the security table won't make any noise, and Granny won't be attracted.

Audio Signals: Who’s Who?

Each enemy has their own "song" signaling their location. Knowing this, you can move safely, knowing exactly where your opponent is.

Some Absolutely Safe Hiding Spots

The attic above the security room. Neither Granny nor Grandpa can enter it.

Secret lockers and ventilation shafts. Once unlocked, you can hide inside and shoot down enemies without getting caught.

If being chased:

  • Slam the door in their face to slow them down.
  • Go up the attic stairs or hide in narrow spaces where enemies can't get in.

Remember item locations and weapon priorities

Items are still placed randomly, but some are mandatory or extremely important depending on the game mode.

ItemUsage Tips
Security KeyAlways required to escape on every preset except Preset 4.
CrowbarRequired to escape in Preset 5.
Special Key + WrenchNeeded in Preset 1 (when playing with 1–2 extra locks).
Gasoline CanPour gasoline first, then ignite. Follow the proper sequence.
Hand GrenadeThrow when enemies are far away – it takes time to explode.
VaseCan be used to lure both Granny and Grandpa at the same time.
Boat ItemsThrow into Baby’s stream; they reappear at the Sewer Deck – useful for moving items without carrying them across the map.

Weapon tip: If you want to take them both down at once, make a sound they can both hear (e.g., smash a vase), then use a grenade or a petrol bomb.

Common mistakes when playing Granny 2

Running around aimlessly at the beginning of the game will cause both enemies to swarm your location.

  • Not opening shortcuts in time. The Secret Staircase helps you move quickly between floors, but it's also a double-edged sword: Granny and Grandpa can use it as well.
  • Like in the first game, if you stay too long in one hiding place, Grand and Grandpa will search and catch you.
  • Don't rely on sound for location tracking (you'll ignore warning sounds like music or running water) and unexpectedly run into enemies.
  • Waste of items. For example, using a Gasoline Can without refuelling it beforehand or throwing grenades too close to yourself can result in injury.
