The moment the knocking begins, a race against time starts. Your mission is to manage your actions and time effectively to stall the man.
You must hide Junior in a closet or under a table, use your work key to lock doors, open a box of donuts as bait, and push the sofa (takes 1 minute) or a wooden chair (takes 30 seconds) to barricade the entrance. The man will randomly check rooms minute by minute, following the puzzles found in the book.
The game’s best thing is not the cheap jump scares but a suffocating silent atmosphere. As the man stalks through the rooms, real-time pressure is created by the sound of knocking and footsteps. The storybook is the “key” to the gameplay, requiring players to think logically, even in a panicked state, to solve hidden puzzles and anticipate the enemy’s movements.
