Diner in the Storm is a 2D adventure puzzle game played directly in your browser. You run into a roadside diner to escape a sudden storm. Inside, it's temporarily safe, but outside, beyond the thin walls, it's raining heavily.
How to Play Diner in the Storm
The game has no combat. You walk around the diner, tapping on each person and choosing an answer. Each choice affects relationships, and those relationships determine who leaves the diner with you.
The destination is the town of Hope Springs. The game has multiple endings, so one playthrough isn't enough to understand everything that's happening. The graphics are interactive and comic-book style, and the sound and music are highly praised, so you should turn on your speakers while playing.

Game Controls
- Mouse: Click to speak, tap on objects, and select dialogue.
- A, D, or left/right arrow keys: Move (optional).
- Spacebar: Skip dialogue.
- Phone: Tap, hold, and drag to move.
Dealing with Each Person in the Cafe
There are only a few people in the cafe, but each person requires a different approach.
| Character | Expression | Handling Method |
|---|
| Maggie | Friendly but cautious | Tell Csapar about Maggie first, then she'll come with you. |
| Ethan | Nervous, mentions the flashing lights before the storm | Choose the right question to get him to tell more. |
| Juan | Grumpy, doesn't want to be seen | You choose to confront him or move on. |
| Bruna Starr | Social media celebrity, three million followers | Answer that you don't use apps and only listen to the radio. |
| Csapar | An elderly man sitting alone | Ask to sit with him; he'll nod. |
Listen carefully to each person. Some want to help, some are trying to distract, and good intentions don't always lead to the right choice.
The update fixed the bug where Juan didn't come with you when you invited him privately. The bug where you went too far from the cafe and got stuck has also been fixed.
The storm isn't over yet, and Hope Springs is still far away, so put on Diner in the Storm and see how many people you can get out of the bar.
