Last Light is a resource management survival game playable directly in your browser, released by AZGames on October 15, 2026. You wake up in a pitch-black laboratory, not knowing where you are, and must survive on a meager amount of coins and limited electricity. The game has no characters to bargain with. Every decision depends on how you allocate electricity and spend your coins.
You start trapped in a zombie-infested lab, and your entire survival depends on how you spend your coins and allocate your electricity. The article discusses how the game’s systems work together to help you not lose unfairly early rounds. This is a side-scrolling game where you explore and build defenses against zombies simultaneously. There are no maps to memorize. You must read the environment and figure out what's worth investing in first.
In the top left corner of the screen are three bars: Light, Security, and Elevator. Above is the number of coins you hold, next to a red energy bar. Each bar is raised using electricity, and that electricity comes from your coins.
These three bars pull each other. Low lighting makes observation difficult. Low security makes doors hard to open. Low elevators make changing floors difficult. Focusing all your efforts on one bar will cause the other two to fall behind, so raise them in stages instead of rushing in one direction.

The main menu includes New Game, Stats, Settings, and More Games. When starting, you choose Easy, Normal, or Hard. The game clearly states that the leaderboard only counts on Hard, and you should complete Easy at least once to be strong enough for Hard. Consider Easy as a rule-learning level, not a mode to just play to get it over with.
The leaderboard shows long-term goals: take down 1,000, 2,000, and 5,000 zombies, unlock The Door, Repair Everything, win for 7 days, and play without getting hit. The Stats section saves your best game, total damage dealt, and number of zombies eliminated, allowing you to compare each game.
The most common mistake is focusing coins on lighting because of its obvious effectiveness, then forgetting security and elevators.
Last Light rewards those who distribute electricity evenly and spend coins wisely. Open an Easy game, upgrade all three bars evenly, only build what you really need, and save coins for the next round.
