Five Nights at Freddy's The Flipside is an ambitious collaborative game project between developers TosterDEV and Weirdos Speed. Built as a fan-made prequel to offer a fresh perspective on the storyline of Secret of the Mimic, the game quickly garnered attention from the Five Nights at Freddy's fan community thanks to its high-quality finish and dramatic atmosphere that rivals the official versions.

FNAF: The Flipside puts players in the role of a former employee unexpectedly pulled back to work by a sudden call.
You will be assisting MCM Corporation in operating and testing the latest robot prototypes for a major partner.
While on shift, you will have to continuously monitor the movements of the robot prototypes through the camera systems, report any technical problems, and try to survive the terrifying mysteries that lurk below the surface.
| Mascot | Mode Classification | Location / Approach Route | Attack Mechanism & Countermeasures |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fredbear | Main Game (MCM Storyline) | Stage area, passing through the main curtain. | Moves through the curtain to enter the room. Players must monitor cameras to close the curtain in time or use the key if it has already passed through. |
| Spring Bonnie (Glitch Trap) | Main Game (MCM Storyline) | The ventilation system (vent) is malfunctioning. | Sneaks into the office from above. Listen for sounds to close the vent cover and wear a protective mask (William/Henry) to deceive it. |
| Monty (Prototype) | Main Game (MCM Storyline) | MCM robot prototype testing areas. | Appears on later nights to put technical pressure on the system. Players must constantly monitor cameras and report problems promptly. |
| Bub | Main Game (MCM Storyline) | Appears randomly on the final climactic nights. | Acts as a disruptive support threat. Often coordinates attacks with other mascots to overwhelm the player. |
| Flipside | Extended Mode (Ultra Custom Night) | Appears indirectly through fanart drawings. | Mechanism 1: Floods the drawing on the camera when clicked (Counter: Alternate pressing the '-' and '=' keys). Mechanism 2: Climbs out of the drawing on the desk after every seven Faz-Coins collected (Counter: Activate Audio Lure in the Drawing Hall). |
When both appear, immediately release the camera to pull the curtain to block Fredbear first, then put on the mask and close the vent to deal with Glitchtrap.
Don't look at the screen for more than 3 seconds. Develop the habit of turning the camera on to inspect the curtains and off to examine the vents at a fixed interval.
Use headphones to guess the direction of the Glitch Trap's movement in the ventilation ducts without overusing the camera.
FNAF: The Flipside does an excellent job of recreating the suffocating atmosphere of the original FNAF. The ending, which opens up a series of events about the Fall Fest fire or the disappearance of Edwin Murray, is a well-deserved reward for those patient enough to overcome the game's hardest difficulty level.
