The village is in ruins. Houses have collapsed, people are fleeing in panic, and in the midst of it all is you: an ordinary high school student who has just entered Granny vs GooGoo Gaga. This is a first-person adventure game, played straight in your browser, no downloads, no registration required.
The village is large enough to need a vehicle. Walking is slower but allows you to see more. Driving is faster, especially when you need to reach distant areas. Just remember one thing: cars drift when cornering. Don't make sharp turns. Release the gas, wait for the wheels to regain traction, then turn. It takes a few minutes to get used to it, but after that you won't want to walk anymore.
Every corner of the village has NPCs waiting. They give small quests, reveal more information, and piece together a larger picture of the conflict. And the further you get from the center of the village, the stranger the story becomes.
There's no side selection screen. You choose through each mission you receive. Some NPCs support Granny, others side with GooGoo Gaga. No announcements, no warnings. The decision only becomes clear when you've progressed far enough.
This is what sets the game apart. The more you explore, the more you realize both Granny and GooGoo Gaga are partly to blame in this mess. There are no clear villains. Only two perspectives, and the final decision is yours.
New players often accept missions without listening to the NPCs completely. This is a mistake. The information they provide often reveals which side they're on in the conflict. Listen first, accept later. Explore and decide after hearing both sides.
Water Tower
Go to the Water Tower to read all patrol routes. This is the highest point in the village. From here, you can observe where enemies are going before rushing into any area.
Battle Zones
Through battle zones: walk, don't drive. Sound attracts both sides. Use C to crouch if you need to move through conflict zones.
Store Items
After picking up items, store them in a safe house immediately. Tools, fuel, and key items found in ruined buildings should be saved immediately. Carrying too much without storing them will result in losing everything in case of trouble.
Village Center
Village Center: enter quickly, exit quickly. Highest loot point but also the most threat spawns. Determine what you need beforehand, go in, grab it, and exit immediately.
Vehicle Garage
Need to escape quickly? Find a vehicle garage. Scattered throughout the village, this is the fastest escape point when the situation gets out of control.
